About me

I am an Executive Coach for Social Change and Healing Centered Practice Consultant.  I center my work on healing from the racialized and cultural traumas we hold within our bodies and to fully embody the vision for the leaders we want to be.  I work in a generative partnership with organizations to transform the conditions, structures, culture, and leadership professional practices of your organizations and institutions for all to thrive.  I bring my full humanness and multiple identities to this work. I’m a truth-seeker, culture-builder, provocateur, space-holder, and so much more.

My values

In every client-and-coach relationship, it’s In every relationship and partnership, it’s important that we align on and hold certain shared values that act as a container for our work together.  Values guide our commitments and hold us accountable to who and what we want to be in the world.  Connecting through our values supports our work together with intention, integrity, thoughtfulness, and care. My practice is rooted in the values of healing, justice, community, spirituality, accountability, and aliveness.

Offerings

In my coaching and consulting practice, I take my skills as a facilitator, social worker, organizer, strategist, healing centered practitioner and culture builder to help leaders, organizers and movement builders heal from generational social conditioning and trauma so they can advance their personal and professional commitments forward and move more fully into our aliveness and move organizations from being trauma informed to healing centered. I work with individuals, groups and teams and design offerings to meet the specific and unique needs of all I work with.

"Tami supports you to go deep and wide, to get into your body and connect with your truth. What she offers is so much more than traditional executive coaching; she guides you to connect with your own inner wisdom voice to remove barriers so you can move forward from a place of alignment. Tami is kind but firm -- she cheerleads but does not coddle -- she sees your innate goodness and divinity and is able to bring that into your session so you can see it, too. And Tami does her work through a holistic lens of intersectionality, helping you to understand how power and privilege are affecting your journey. Tami helped me to step more into my power!"

– Celia Framson, MPH, RD, CSP Clinical Dietitian IV and Nutrition Faculty, CHLA Leadership Education in Adolescent Health program

"I sought Tami's coaching services in the midst of personal and professional upheaval — though I don't think I consciously knew that I was in upheaval at the time! What a gift I gave myself to have Tami's compassionate, honest, direct, grounded support at my side when it all bubbled up and over. Tami asks good questions, listens to the answers behind the answers, holds space for all the feelings, and does it all from a deep rootedness in liberatory movement-building. … I highly recommend working with Tami and taking care of your present and future self."

— Rebecca Allen, Former Project Manager Social Justice Fund

"I was struggling to find my place in a national nonprofit where I felt disconnected to my immediate community and grassroots organizing. I was working through some conflict and harm with my colleagues. I felt stuck. … Tami helped me work through some of my blocks and fears around letting go and moving into a more uncertain phase of contract work and coached me through some of the practical steps that helped me to feel more secure as I made these changes. Twelve to eighteen months later, I have successfully transitioned into more rooted and purposeful work, and I am so grateful for Tami's support in helping me to see what was possible and how to move to a more joyful place in my work!"

— Jennifer Near, independent consultant

"Tami challenges me and walks beside me in my journey as a white leader. As someone with experience in delivering coaching, I am a critical consumer. And Tami astounds me each time we meet. She coaches my whole self, which I had not experienced before, and makes me feel entirely seen and understood. She acknowledges all that I arrive with and flexes to meet my needs. I feel held with compassion, empathy and a lot of accountability! I feel like she gets me and I am forced to bring my best self, or at least my most honest self, to our time together. And I know I am growing and shifting as a result of her coaching.”

— Phoebe Sade, Chief Executive Officer, Child Care Resources

"I turned to Tami in a moment of personal and professional rupture, and I am forever grateful for the strong grace and love within which she held me, and for the powerful tools she gave me. She is a gifted coach, a wise teacher, and a kind friend."

— Nora Karena, Adjunct Faculty, Tillamook Bay Community College

"Tami was instrumental in coaching me as a white leader working to unpack and shift my personal leadership style in support of anti-racism and liberation. She helped me work through difficult situations with staff and identify the areas of my work that I needed to keep and others to let go; ultimately leading me to a needed transition. Tami leads with compassion, humility, active listening, and integrates tools for self reflection and goal setting. It was an honor to work with her. "

— Alissa Haslam, Director of State Capacity Building, State Voices

"Tami has been providing me with one-on-one coaching for the past three years. Her support, inquiry, challenge and accountability has been profound. She has helped me unravel and relearn my own leadership with my board, staff and in the community. I can’t overstate the impacts it has made to me personally and I know that I would not have been able to make such leaps without this intense accountability."

— Karri Matau, Chief Executive Officer, Community Foundation of Snohomish County
